Is Agel Enterprises A Scam?

The History of Agel Enterprises:

Agel Enterprises is a nutritional supplementation company in the MLM industry that focuses on marketing an innovative advancement in nutrient delivery called ‘Suspension Gel Technology’. Basically, instead of swallowing a pill, or drinking a nutritional juice beverage, the nutrients in Agel’s product line are suspended in a nutritive gel.

Agel started in October 2005 with 4 products, and has now expanded to more than 10. The strength in the Agel message has been the simplicity and universal application of the concept – you can theoretically place any kind of nutrient supplement into a gel delivered by Agel’s proprietary Suspension Gel Technology, and so the possibility for expansion of the product line is virtually endless.

Leadership and Training Available in Agel Enterprises

Agel is led by two dynamic leaders in the home business industry, Eric Worre and Randy Gage. Eric is someone who has built several multi-million dollar organizations in the Network Marketing Industry, and Randy Gage is one of the most famous network marketers of all time. In fact, Randy Gage has developed several of the best-selling MLM trainings in history, such as his famed ‘How to earn $100,000 a year in Network Marketing’.

Agel primarily focuses on building a business by contacting everyone you know – friends, family, associates, relatives, business contacts, etc., and presenting them with a simple message by handing them a DVD presentation called ‘The Agel Phenomenon.’ The use of this DVD has created an incredible surge in recruits over the last few years in Agel Enterprises and is currently used in more than 40 countries.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of Agel Enterprises?

Agel definitely has several advantages if you are looking for a serious opportunity. Randy Gage and Eric Worre can definitely teach you the skills you need to build a successful business, especially if you don’t have a problem talking to everyone you’ve ever met about your new business opportunity. In Agel, you will develop dynamic, practical presentation, recruiting, and selling skills that can be carried over into almost any industry. Also, if you are not yet skilled in giving presentations, Agel Enterprises has a very user-friendly system that allows you to have some initial success if you are simply willing to work hard. Another advantage of Agel is that they truly do have a unique and dynamic product line. The concept of suspension gel nutrition was innovated by Agel, and people ‘get it’ without much convincing. In short, Agel Enterprises has the potential to be a real success.

In addition to the advantages, Agel also has several disadvantages. For example, while Agel has an incredibly dynamic commission plan that can potentially allow you to create almost limitless wealth, they have no serious commission structure in place to reward customer acquisition. So if you are a massive recruiter, there is potential for equally massive income, but if you want to create income by marketing products, it is almost impossible to make any money at all in Agel Enterprises. If you contact me, I would be happy to explain why. The problem with not having an adequate customer rewards program is that if distributors are not rewarded for acquiring customers, they simply just will not get them. Customers are what make any business stable and successful in the long term.

Some Important Concepts

I built a successful Agel distributorship in 2006, and when I figured out how little money distributors could make from marketing products, I saw the flaw and tried to change it. The Agel Corporate Team was absolutely fabulous in hearing out the need for a slight shift in the customer program, but they were not able to make any changes due to disagreements with field leadership.

The problem with this is manifold – it creates a culture that is dependent on recruits to maintain sales volume. Most Agel businesses have a rate of about 5 distributors to 1 customer – quite the crappy ratio. In review, Agel is a fabulous company, an incredible opportunity, but only if you are willing to recruit like crazy, because there are no rewards for the acquisition of customer volume, which is what builds stability in any home business/network marketing company.

Also, there are LOTS of people who will fall in love with a product and want to market the product only, and there is no room at all for people like that in Agel Enterprises, so you’ll be missing out on a lot of the market share for the home business world.

I would encourage Agel Enterprises to make a slight adjustment in the customer acquisition part of the compensation plan for the sake of all those, who like me, want to prosper through helping people enjoy a fabulous and beneficial product that people sincerely need.

In prosperity.

This is a very detailed analysis of Agel Enterprises. I’ve been considering joining, but the lack of a solid customer acquisition plan is definitely a concern for me. Thanks for the heads-up!

I’ve been part of Agel for about a year now, and while I agree that recruiting is emphasized, I’ve had success by focusing on the product’s unique benefits. It’s all about how you market it.

Thanks for sharing your experience with Agel, David. Do you think the company will ever adjust its compensation plan to better reward customer acquisition? That would make it a more balanced opportunity.

The concept of Suspension Gel Technology is intriguing, but I’m curious about the long-term sustainability of Agel’s business model. Are there any signs that the company is addressing the concerns you mentioned?

I was approached by someone promoting Agel recently, and this post provided great insight into what I should be aware of before making any decisions. Thanks for the balanced review!

It’s interesting to see both the advantages and disadvantages laid out so clearly. It seems like Agel is great for those who are natural recruiters but not so much for product-focused individuals.
