Building a successful and sustainable business in Network Marketing takes thousands of hours of strategic and consistent hard work. A lot of Networkers are failing, (97% to be exact) but you can avoid the pitfalls that most MLMers fall into if you follow some of the strategies in this article. I have a desire to help the newcomers to the industry, and I feel I’m obligated to point out some of the most powerful strategies available. First, I’ll go over some personal tips that will help you succeed in Multi-Level Marketing, then we’ll get into the strategies that the top producers use.
Tip #1: Self Improvement
If you want to build a successful company, whether it be online or offline, it starts with you. Your attitude and approach to your business play a vital role in your ability to achieve success in network marketing. The top earners in this business have a strong and mature attitude. They respect the people they talk to, showing compassion and gratitude. What these folks all have in common is their enthusiasm to learn new things and an endless desire to help others. Knowing this small but important fact about these entrepreneurs makes one ask the question, how can I improve myself and become a better person? Self-development is an essential part of Network Marketing; if you do not work on becoming a better person, you will not succeed in this industry.
Tip #2: Leadership
To have a successful MLM business, you will need to show leadership. People want to be part of a team or group, so it’s up to you to lead by example. How do I do that, you might ask? It’s simple: if you want to be a leader, instead of telling someone what to do, you need to show them what to do. Actions speak louder than words. You should never tell someone what he or she should do; you should show them via videos or through slideshow presentations. Using these mediums will help you provide your team with a better understanding of what to do, and it will show the quality of leadership and knowledge you have of the industry. You need to take the lead to succeed.
Now that we have touched on some personal qualities, let’s take a look at what else is necessary for succeeding in Marketing your opportunity online. I’ll be honest: if you’re advertising your opportunity offline and not taking advantage of the internet and what it can do for your business, you are missing out big time. A lot of the promotional strategies that can be implemented on the web are very cheap and most are free.
Strategy #1: Social Media
A very popular method for promoting and marketing these days is using social media. As I’m writing this article, Facebook is the fastest-growing site on the net, and more people are using it than Google. You do have to play by the rules though. Social media is great; if it’s used properly, you can brand yourself with your own unique style, and you can generate a ton of targeted free leads. The options that you have using social media are almost limitless; people are coming out with different marketing techniques every day for Facebook, and don’t even get me started on Twitter. I strongly urge you to get familiar with this method of marketing because there is no bigger market on one single platform than Facebook.
One thing to keep in mind is that this is SOCIAL media, not “pitch your BUSINESS” media. The main thing to remember about using social media or really any online tactic is to bring value to the marketplace. People always want to know what’s in it for them.
Strategy #2: Video Marketing
Video marketing works on several different levels. When you make a video, it makes you real as a person. When you’re doing anything online, it’s hard for others to believe that you are real. Right now you’re reading an article I wrote, but maybe I didn’t write it, maybe my friend wrote it and let me put my name on it (who knows!?). People always say a picture’s worth a thousand words—well, then a video is a novel, an insight into who you really are.
Another reason videos work so well is that they get your content into a whole other directory. A simple video with a few keywords (keywords are key) will help you create more links and more awareness for your articles, your blog, your Facebook page, etc. One of the other reasons videos work so well is that you can actually show people what to do, and that automatically puts you in a leadership position. What you want to remember to do in any medium is to be helpful and informative; in short, create value. What you don’t want to do is sell your product or pitch your business. If you do it right, you’ll have people asking you and chasing you down for that information.
Strategy #3: Article Marketing
This strategy is my favorite; in fact, I’m doing it right now. Article marketing is hotter than ever, and there are a number of reasons for that. One reason is that anyone with the ability to string a few sentences together can do it; seriously, if I can do it, anyone can do it (I give my spell/grammar check a constant workout). Another reason that article marketing is a popular choice is that you can use software to automatically submit your article to thousands of targeted websites. Also, you can have links in all of your articles that point back to your site (be careful here, if you link directly back to your site you may get into trouble, there is a safe way to do this though) and increase your website’s search engine ranking.
The last reason I’ll mention is the ability to use your articles in tandem with your videos. When you use these two mediums to play off each other, you can increase the visibility of both the videos and the articles.
P.S. Leave me your thoughts, comments, and questions below.
In prosperity,

While I appreciate the effort you put into this post, I’m a bit skeptical about the results you’re promising. Can you share some evidence or real-life examples of people who have successfully built an online empire using these strategies? It would help to see some proof before I dive in.

I have a question about the video marketing strategy you mentioned. What kind of videos should I be focusing on? Is it better to create tutorials or more personal, behind-the-scenes content to build trust with my audience? Any tips would be appreciated!

While the strategies outlined here are solid, I feel like there’s a bit too much focus on traditional methods like article marketing. With SEO and social media algorithms changing constantly, shouldn’t there be more emphasis on adapting to these updates? Just a thought!

I can relate to what you said about struggling with leadership. When I first started my MLM business, I didn’t know how to lead a team. But over time, I’ve realized how important it is to show people what to do rather than just tell them. Your tip on leadership really resonates with my own journey!

Great post, Eric! I’ve been using a tool called Buffer to manage my social media strategy, and it has been a game-changer. It helps automate posts across platforms like Facebook and Twitter, so I can focus on building relationships instead of constantly posting. You might want to check it out!
