8 YouTube Video Tips to Go Viral Part 2 of 2

Creating videos that get a lot of views is a great way to drive traffic and get exposure. In this continuation of the 8 YouTube video tips we’ll be covering the final four methods to producing interesting videos.
The fifth YouTube video tip to going viral is to keep your videos short. Try to keep the length of your videos to a minimum, if you have a lot to say just break it up into smaller segments. A lot of the people on the internet are more likely to watch a five minute clip rather than a fifteen minute discourse, so just keep that in mind when you’re rambling on about the weather.

Buy now you should understand that one of the most important factors in creating a video is to be unique. Making a YouTube video that shows who you are is a lot better than shooting a video where you nervously read every word of a script. Some people have to have a script, and if you’re one of these people you should put an element of yourself into what you’re reading (humor is always a good option). When I first started making videos it was difficult for me to act natural in front of the camera. My solution to being a nervous wreck in front of the camera was to make a bunch of videos until I became more comfortable. I didn’t post my crummy videos on YouTube in fact I deleted most of them, but simply by taking action and recording myself I eventually got more at ease.

The seventh YouTube video tip is adding effects. Adding video effects, audio effects and green screen effects can help your videos become more entertaining. Even adding simple things like dorky sound effects or subtitles can help boost your videos appeal. You don’t have to put on a whole show but adding effects to your videos will help make them more unique and more engaging.

The eighth and final YouTube video tip to go viral is…Stay focused. Keeping your videos on point and condensed to a few minutes makes it easier for people to digest the information. Like I mentioned in tip number five you should keep your videos short so they are more consumable. A big advantage to keeping your videos lazer focused is that people can pick and choose what segments they want to watch instead of sitting through a long drawn out video.

At this point you should have a good idea of how to make a video and how to make it appealing to people on video sharing websites. Some of these tips slightly repeat themselves but the most common theme I’ve discovered is to be original and be yourself. Some of the other tips that are closely related is to make your videos quick and to the point and the other is to make them entertaining. So basically if you have a unique, quick, and entertaining video you’ll be well on your way to having it go viral.
