How are you getting your blog noticed with no comments on your blog? Well —a — you Won’t…..very well. And that is the point. I am going to comment on quite a few comments about comments : ) in this article about comments and hopefully get a few comments about the comments that I commented about. Oh there I go again! ….darn’ ….. Let’s get into it Getting Your Blog Noticed ….. Comments on your blog….made for you and from you.
The smart guy’s figure that about 90 of us don’t comment on blogs. Still that leaves quite a few when you think about it. The more relationships you build the more sharing of your blog will occur. That would help in how to get more money. So let’s get started. I will cover Increasing comments on your blog.
Getting Your Blog Noticed …. Increasing Comments on your blog
We could talk about some obvious things like writing compelling content that people want to read. You might try to misspell some words to get the English spell’n police out to correct you, but I think you expect a little more than that.
Be sure that your readers can find where to comment. Don’t hide it ….. If you plan on “promoting your blog” …. that’s for sure.
Getting your blog noticed ………………… can they find it?
Another idea is to make some controversy. You could ….. parade how George Bush should be President for 4 more years ….. you should always butter the bottom side of your toast ….. the toilet paper roll should always be placed with the leading edge ….. you get the idea. And here I thought we were having a discussion about promoting your blog! We are. So let’s get back to it.
Ask your readers to comment about your post. Ask people for their opinions, advice, what they like, their methods, any tips they might have, even questions that they have. Put ideas out there to inspire comments.
Getting Your Blog Noticed…..Comments on your blog
You can always leave out a few things. Don’t say every little thing on the topic; leave room for others to say something. That is easy for some of us.
Be sure to reply to those that comment on your blog ….. be conversational. That will encourage those that comment and let them know that you care about them. We all like a little love. Make it personal …. let them know you read their comment. They might start promoting your blog for you. : )
I have started using CommentLuv Plugin on my site. It is easy to use and gives a link to the last post the reader made on their blog automatically. I like that when leaving a comment so I’m thinking others would too. Have any of you had it on your sites? What are your thoughts?
Many Blogs have a widget installed on their sidebar that promotes their “top commentator’s”. Great idea. I would love to hear any pluses, minuses, tips …. whatever.
Commenting on others blogs will encourage them to comment on yours. Get the Love out there and some of it will return.
I am going to get into commenting on others blogs next in this series of Promoting Your Blog. Getting comments on your blog is a wonderful way to get to know your readers. At the same time, it helps in being more authoritative in Google’s eyes. And works “promoting your blog”.

All my Best,
Stephen Peters

Informative post! I agree, CommentLuv is a great plugin that auto-generates traffic to your latest post. Also, I noticed when leaving comments on others blogs, it does motivate others to return the Love! Thanks for sharing… http://websites24seven.com.

Thanks for this article. It’s nice to read a blog about getting traffic that doesn’t say the same as the rest. Since I have a new website I’m always looking for great unique ways to generate traffic. Tired of reading the same thing. Nice to finally read a different article.

Interesting ideas, Stephen. I particularly like the suggestion to leave room for others to contribute their thoughts. It’s a simple but effective way to encourage interaction.
