Finding Your Inner Joy

I was thinking this morning about life, the universe, and joy…

It is to me, a fascinating phenomenon to watch the way the world acts and behaves, and certain things (at least on the surface) that almost everyone does appear to contradict our very natures.

For example, the concept of ‘working a job’ until the day you can ‘finally‘ live your dreams is so repulsive when investigated, you would almost have to be a drunken mad-man if you were looking at it from another perspective to even consider something so stupid.

That may seem like an insult to injury to some – and that is not targeted at you and your intelligence – it’s targeted at ‘social hypnosis‘ and the way that we seem to be raised to live a life of ‘dream retardation‘.

The reality is – the world is an abundant place, and if utilized wisely – has virtually unlimited resources for all of us to live our dreams, whatever they may be.

As an example of this madness – why in the world would someone go their entire life, putting off their passions if there was a way to live it here and now?  Why would someone engage in a constant battle of struggle to achieve something that they would never really want in the first place?

Nature seems to have instilled in us, as sentient, intelligent beings the DESIRE for inner joy – yet the way we act and behave on a constant basis seems to push us farther, individually and as a species – from the connection and JOY that we seek.

I’ve got a new mantra – ‘live your passion now‘.

Hate your job?  Quit. I don’t care if we’re in a recession, do something you LOVE and get a VISION in your life of living to your full potential.

The simple reality is, that if human beings were not afraid of living their greatness we would not be in a recession, we would not have an oppressive, fascist government ran by elitists, we would not have hunger and, thirst, and poverty – and we would all be living our lives with a single focus towards raising the standard of life to perfection, wholeness, and JOY.

Why do we persist in allowing things to happen that we not only dislike, but vehemently oppose? Why have we allowed ourselves to be fixed into a way of being that is contrary to our greatest joys and desires?

There was a religious zealot who felt like sex with his wife was a ‘necessary‘ evil, to subdue his passions so he did not sin.  When asked by a friend:

“So… do you enjoy the sex with your wife?”

He replied – “We place a sheet between ourselves and look away, so we never have to feel ashamed of our nakedness…”

Such zealotry and religious control should never exist in the heart of someone who wants to connect with what it really means to be alive.  Why would you be ashamed of being authentically you?  Why would you want to live your life, EVER, in a way that wasn’t connected with who you really want to become?

Imagine being a woman, or a man – and going your whole life being ashamed of living your passions – never enjoying the bliss of sex, never feeling truly loved, always ashamed of who you are – for nothing.

I have a challenge to you – and it’s to live your passions today.  Be the person that you want to be.  Tell your wife you love her today – give a hug to your children.  Tell your Father you forgive him.  Be HUMBLE and say you’re sorry.

Tell your teams you believe in themtake a day off on the weekend.  Go on that jungle safari that you’ve dreamed of since you’ve been a child, and give some money to those in need (without judging what they’ll do with it).

Hire someone to do that task that you hate, and release yourself of burden.  Let go of that success you had in the past, and embrace your life in the present.

Here’s the biggest challenge that I have for you, and that is:

BECOME the change that you want to SEE, and help me transform the world.

Are you up for the challenge? To YOUR Victory,

Wow David,

Thats such a powerful post…

I totally agree with you that if a person is not enjoying what they are doing with their life, they should quit now.

Life is too short to put ur dreams on hold..

Work towards them today..

Living true to yourself is the highest freedom ever. I spent years living for other people’s happiness and ideas of what they wanted of me. It’s exhausting and sucks the reason for living right out of a person.

It’s so much easier to just live in truth and be free to be REAL.

I love it when someone speaks up and tells others that it’s ok to do what they want. Some people are afraid to give themselves permission to live their own lives.

David,

One of the most powerful things about this life is that we are all different and all have different views. It is important no matter where we come from or what our core beliefs, that seek for joy in this earthly existence.

Take time to hug our kids if we have kids or hug our dog if we have one of those. But just take time to see the beauty around us and be grateful for what we have.

Thank you a lot. You changed my vision of life. I agree with you. There is nothing more stupid and wrong than doing what you kinda don’t like, hate and so on.

To the top, Pavel.

P.S. You mentioned that you want to transform the world. So what world would you like to live in?

Awesome David. Living from the heart is living in Joy. It truly is very important to live what you are passionate about. It is sad that most people live their daily routines without even questioning why. Thank you my friend for your inspiration and for living your passion and joy!!! Have a great day…Paul

Incredible Post David, Like someone once told me, If you want your dreams to come true, don’t leave them as thoughts, take action to realize them.

Hey Dave, I think a lot of it has to do with control. Our whole lives we are conditioned and trained through media, school, everything to be employees or lower class or whatever you want to call it. We have been trained to be the 95%, to mind our manners, to behave, to not step out of line. I think it’s finally only becoming apparent today to more and more people this oppression that we’re under by the government, the banks, etc. It is The file is too long and its contents have been truncated.
