First we will assume that you have already picked a Keyword for your blog post. What I want you to do is pull out your gun and aim for about 500 words for the blog. 500 to 700 is where you want to be. For starting out one keyword is great to focus on. You want to make sure it flows in your text, and not forced. That is pretty easy to do.

There are some important places that the Keyword need to be placed in your empower network blog. First it needs to be in the Title. The very first of the tile. So if your keyword is “Cookies” you would title it “Cookies are good”. Simple.

Now I want you to put in some sub-headings with the “keyword” at the beginning of the heading. These are called h1, h2 , h3. H1 is the Title, h2 and h3…. are sub headings. these are very important ideas to keep in mind for how to make seo a priority in your blog post or article.

The “keywords” need to show up in the first and last paragraph, google wants to see this.

Next we will move on to the “meta description” this is a chunk of works that describes your article. I don’t remember if this is in the Empower Network system but it may be in your other word press blog. You can copy and past a portion of your article that describes this post. Good idea to put your keyword in the beginning of this description.

Empower Network – How to make SEO work in your images

I want you to put in at least one image in your post. Google also reads your images. so we need to put your keyword here too. Here is the little trick. If you click on the image you will see two icons show up on the image. One looks like a picture …it is on the left, click on it. this will open up a window and you will see a line for “Alt. text” or title. This is where I want you to put your keyword and only your keyword.

If you follow these little tricks they will help your Empower Network blog rank better on Google . By now you have learned how to make seo work for you by placing your keyword in the title, heading, text meta description and images. The goal of this is to learn how to get more money. Hey David thanks for sharing this.. I have been thinking to completely trash the email campaign that MLSP gives us and create my own. That way I can share with my readers more lessons without trying to sell anything. Gain their trust and then occasionally share the tools etc that are working for me. I have my blogcast automated for all of my lists do you think this is ok? Any tips on this would be appreciated 🙂

Norbert Orlewicz, June 17 2012, 12:00

Yes April! Do it! The default emails are for beginners, just to get them started… absolutely write your own as soon as you can, just look at what all of the top leaders are doing!

David Wood, June 17 2012, 13:00

Ditto on what Norb says – there’s a whole science to personalizing your email campaigns, I’m going to cover it here in a future training. It’s worth noting though, I didn’t personalize my campaigns until I was already earning five figures monthly. -dave

Hey David, Great tips my friend! I’m curious… Did your opt in rate increase when you started only asking for the email on your blog??? Thanks, Billee Brady

David Wood, June 17 2012, 16:00

Yes, the more info you request (generally – not always) usually the higher the opt in rates – Ryan Diess has done a lot of testing on this, and I always look at what he’s doing.

David Wood, June 17 2012, 17:00

Lol – I meant the LESS info you request the higher the opt ins 😉 -dave
