4 Reasons Why I’m Glad I Took My Business Online

When I first started out in Network Marketing I had high hopes and no skills. I wanted to tell the world about how they could build wealth through networking. In the beginning the biggest problem for me was getting people to look at my opportunity. It was very difficult for me to do, and it took me a long time to do it. I tried the strategies that were working for my up-line and the company leaders but I fell flat on my face. After a while, I quit. I didn’t quit the company or totally stop promoting my MLM, but in reality, I did quit… I quit on the inside. I still went to many company functions and attended the trainings offered, but it was difficult to see and hear about the success of others while I was struggling so miserably. When I took my business online, everything changed. Here are some of the reasons why I’m glad I made that choice:

1. Freedom

It wasn’t until I found a guy named David Wood that my dreams came alive again. At that time, David was with a company called iLearning Global. I didn’t join him then, but I wish I had. After struggling for a few more months, I called David again, and he started me on the path to expression and freedom. While David didn’t personally show me how to use the internet to express myself, seeing how he operated gave me the belief that it was possible to make money by being creative. Watching David, I noticed that he ran his business with very little effort, and most of his work was on autopilot. I told myself that someday I’d have that kind of freedom.

2. Confidence Boost from the System

It took me a few more months to get my bearings online, but even on the first day of starting, my confidence doubled. I could see the process from start to finish. The system David introduced me to was laid out, and all I had to do was fill in the blanks. The team I joined was awesome—they gave me the inside scoop with no nonsense, and step-by-step instructions that worked. All I had to do was take action. One of the main reasons my confidence soared when I got online was that I no longer needed anyone to join my opportunity. The system showed me that people would eventually join, as long as I kept moving forward.

3. Learning the Biz Even from a Rival

It’s funny because if I had succeeded with the offline strategies I know today, I probably wouldn’t have taken my business online. So, in a way, I’m glad I didn’t succeed at first. I like working online because you quickly hear about the latest MLM opportunities, and you learn about the industry as a whole. On the internet, the idea that “my Network Marketing Company is better than yours” is often set aside, and everyone comes together as networkers. Most of us share ideas and strategies without company divisions. I’m not suggesting you forget about your company, but just because someone is with Amway doesn’t mean they don’t have a great lead generation strategy. Online, most network marketers I’ve met help each other no matter what company they’re with.

4. Connecting with People

Many marketers who build their business offline believe that online marketing is impersonal and detached. They think you hide behind a screen all day, never calling or communicating with others. But I’ve found the web to be a fantastic place to connect with people. In fact, the other day Jim Fanale, one of the MLSP team leaders, personally fixed a glitch on my blog. Another great example is David Wood. He’s my direct upline, and I can send him an email, Skype him, or just pick up the phone and call him. He’ll respond. And these aren’t guys barely making a living; these guys are top earners and recruiters in their companies. The internet is a fantastic way to connect with others, and I’ve found that if you’re serious and take action, the leaders will connect with you.

I could go on about why I love working online, but the main point I want to make is that the internet isn’t something to fear. At the same time, you should do what works best for you. I love using the net, but if you prefer home meetings, go for it. I, on the other hand, will use the internet to connect faster and more efficiently. The amazing thing is that I can even connect with people while hiking in the woods or reading a booknow that’s leverage.

I’m finding it hard to believe that just going online made such a huge difference. Do you have any actual stats or results to back this up? It would be great to see some concrete evidence of this transformation.

Thanks for sharing your experience! I’m curious, how long did it take before you started seeing consistent results with your online business? Also, what platform do you recommend for someone just starting out?

While I agree that taking a business online offers great opportunities, I think you’re oversimplifying the challenges. The learning curve can be steep, especially for those who aren’t tech-savvy. It would be helpful to acknowledge that in your post.
