4 Reasons Why I’m Glad I Took My Business Online
When I first started out in Network Marketing I had high hopes and no skills. I wanted to tell the world about how they could build wealth through networking. In the beginning the biggest problem for me was getting people to look at my opportunity. It was very difficult for me to do, and it took me a long time to do it. I tried the strategies that were working for my up-line and the company leaders but I fell flat on my face. After a while I quit, I didn’t quit the company or totally stop promoting my mlm but in reality I did quit… I quit on the inside. I still went to a lot of the company functions and joined in on trainings that were offered but it was difficult to see and hear about the success of others while I was struggling so miserably. When I took my biz online that all changed and here’s some the reasons why I’m glad I made that choice.
It wasn’t until I found a guy by the name of David Wood that my dreams came alive again. At that time David was with a company called iLearning Global. I didn’t join him at that time but I wish I would have. After I struggled for a few more months, I gave David a call again and he started me down the path of expression and freedom. David didn’t show me personally how to use the internet to express myself. I saw how he was able to do it and seeing that helped me realize that it was possible to make money by being creative. While I was watching how Dave was doing this stuff, I noticed that he runs his business with very little effort on his part and most of his stuff is on total autopilot. I told myself that someday I’ll have that kind of freedom.
2. Confidence Boost from the System
It took me a few more months to get my bearings in the online world, but even on the first day of starting the process my confidence doubled. I could see the process from start to finish. The system David introduced me to was all laid out and all I had to do was fill in the blanks. The team I got involved with is totally awesome – they give me the inside scoop with no B.S., and step by step instructions that actually work, and all I have to do is act. One of the main reasons I think my confidence went through the roof when I got online was the fact that I didn’t neeeeed anyone to join my opportunity anymore because the system proved that eventually people would join. All I had to do was keep moving forward.
3. Learning the Biz Even from a Rival
It’s funny because if I would have started off with the offline strategies I know today I probably wouldn’t have taken my business online, so in reality I’m glad I didn’t succeed at first. I like doing this stuff online because you almost instantly hear about the newest mlm opportunity and you learn about the industry as a whole. For the most part, the idea that “my Network Marketing Company is better than yours” is put aside on the internet and everyone comes together simply, as networkers. Here, most of us share ideas and strategies without the company dividers. I’m not saying to get all turned around and forget about your company, but just because someone is from Amway doesn’t mean they don’t have a good strategy to get leads. The bottom line is that on the internet most of the network marketers I’ve met help each other no matter what company they’re affiliated with.
4. Connecting With People
I think a lot of marketers who build their business without the internet think that doing this stuff online is less personable and less involved. People think you just hide behind a screen all day and you never call or communicate with another person again. I’ve found the web to be a great place to connect with people, in fact the other day Jim Fanale, one of the MLSP team leaders, personally fixed a glitch in my blog. Another great example is David Wood, he’s my direct up-line and I can send him an email or I can Skype him or just pick up the phone and call him and he’ll connect with me. I’m not talking about guys that barely make a living at this either, these guys make a ton of money and most of em’ are top earners and recruiters in their companies. The internet is a fantastic way to connect with others and I’ve found that if you’re serious and take action, the leaders will connect with you.
I could go on and on about why I like doing this stuff online but the main thing I want to express is that the internet isn’t something to be afraid of, but at the same time you should do what works best for you. Obviously I like using the net but if you want to do home meetings and all that jazz go for it. I on the other hand am going to use the net to connect faster and more efficiently with others. The mind blower is that I’ll even connect with people when I’m hiking in the woods or reading a book, now that’s leverage.
