Online MLM, Why you need to be marketing your business on the internet: For any business, marketing is very important. It allows you to reach people that want your products and/or services. Unless you reach them, potential customers will not know about your business. The traditional offline marketing methods are still widely used, but online marketing techniques seem to be more efficient these days. It is easier and cheaper. And who does not want to save a buck here and there these days?

Mailing is one of the methods used in marketing. Snail mails have been popular, but the popularity has been dying down and being replaced with internet mailing. Emails are a lot cheaper and quicker. More people can be reached with just a click of a button. Thank goodness for technology. You do not need to spend a fortune on paper and stamps to mail people all over town.

Some people do not even read . ‘junk. ‘ mails that they receive. It is a waste of tree and of your buck. Through emails, people that want to read it can and those that are not interested can just delete it. Save time and money.

For customers that would like to receive regular updates, they can have the option of doing so. People that are not interested can simply choose not to receive any updates. A benefit of online marketing is that it avoids any awkward contact or unwanted solicitation. Let. ‘s face it, solicitors can be annoying! And some people are not so nice with them. With the internet, the customers are the ones that are actually looking for you! They search for products or services that you may be offering. And continual shoppers can be informed of items that they might like. Most systems save customer information and have an idea of their taste. Based on past items that were purchased, other similar items will be shown.

With a click of a button, things have gotten so much easier. Even if they choose not to give you business right away, it is so easy for them to save your info and bookmark it when they actually need it. Your company will not be forgotten. Also with the internet, they can send the links to their family and friends. It is an effective tool for marketing and networking. They might not need it right away then, but someone else might.

It is likely that a customer will return to your site if you are offering what they need. Many people tend to save to their favorite or bookmark the sites they plan on returning to. With offline marketing, many people will shut the door in your face or hang up the phone. You are the one bothering them. But with the internet consumer, they are the ones going after you.

Online marketing is a lot more cost efficient. It can save you a ton of money. Advertisements through print venues or television are costly and usually temporary. Unless you plan on renewing every so often, your ads will be taken off, and disappear from the public eye. Marketing on line not only is cheaper but reaches a lot more people more quickly and efficiently for as long as you want.

But some offline marketing techniques are still effective. Many companies like to combine both offline and online marketing techniques to reach a broad audience. Whatever venue you choose to go with, never stop being exposed to the target audience. Look for ways to find them. Let them find you.

How To Be A Successful Online MLM Distributor (And Be YOURSELF, Too)

Quite frankly, there are a lot of positives and negatives to building MLM organizations online, and many people don’t understand what it really takes to prosper in a company using technology to market themselves.

I got started in the MLM profession 7 years ago and I went through five years of painful business building experiences because I was taught how to do things that didn’t jive with my personality. Basically, I was told repeatedly to build lists of my friends, family and associates, but the problem was that I’m just not that social of a person. Don’t get me wrong, I do like to have fun and be with friends (and I do enjoy talking on the phone), but my relative group of friends has always been small.

So how does a person who enjoys alone time and doesn’t like hanging out in shopping malls and business networking events build a massive downline by using warm market lists? Well, they either change their personality or they just don’t do it, that’s how. It just so happens that I like myself… (Should I change my whole personality just to build a business?)

…So after 5 years, I actually figured this warm market thing out and built a massively successful group, but it just wasn’t me. Personally, flying all around the world doing meetings five nights a week just isn’t my definition of abundance, and that’s not what I wanted to create. So I needed a different way where I could still sponsor massive amounts of distributors without changing who I was.

People would always say ‘be duplicatable’ but you know what? I didn’t have ANY success until I decided that was complete crap and started doing things my own way. In fact, I’m so positive about MLM duplication being full of poo that I made this killer YouTube video explaining why:

That’s where learning how to run online MLM marketing campaigns comes in. Rather than building a list of friends and family, you can leverage yourself through creating a tidal wave of social interactions that happen automatically, 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. For example, last month I had more than 30,000 visitors to my websites. I don’t think there’s any way that I could create that kind of exposure offline without paying an arm and a leg for traffic, and I certainly couldn’t do it by wandering around in Safeway…

So how do you enter the online world of MLM and become successful? It’s simple. All you’ve got to do is learn how to provide legitimate, lasting value to as many people as possible, and people will be attracted to working with you automatically, (you’ve just got to learn how to create massive exposure, and everything else is easy).

It’s as simple as that. For myself, I learned that I had gained an incredible amount of knowledge during my time offline building my business that translated into solutions to problems people were having online, so I took that knowledge and I conveyed it by writing articles, making videos, and sending empowering emails to people who subscribed to my list. Within two months, my phone was ringing off the hook all day and night with people who wanted to work with me. (I thought this was much cooler than hotel meeting…)

So ask yourself the question: What value can you provide that will set you apart? What are your strengths? Are you analytical? Do you know how to manage your time extraordinarily well? Do you know how to do powerful presentations or are you better at writing? How can you market your business and ENJOY yourself, too?

Knowing who you are is half the battle. Find your strengths and make a plan to expose the online world to the power of YOU, and you’ll go in the right direction, and get there faster than you can imagine.

If you feel like you don’t have any value to provide, you just haven’t yet discovered your strengths, that’s all.

However, we need to remember that this style of marketing isn’t for everyone. Some people will do dramatically better by sticking to traditional approaches, and some people just can’t stand technology. FIND YOUR STRENGTHS and build your business in a way that is attractive and FUN for YOU. I know that that flies in the face of the whole ‘be duplicatable’ philosophy, but have you EVER met an MLM leader that was living the lifestyle you’ve always wanted that was actually a duplicatable person? I never have, and I probably know a lot more MLM leaders than most of you.

ALL of them found a way to sponsor LOTS of distributors and ALL of them did it differently. Funny enough, 90% of them preach ‘be duplicatable and you’ll make it’. (But haven’t you tried that already?)

For those of you who don’t know him, he’s an online MLM leader who is making a six figure annual income online. Before I brag on him too much though, he’s only 22. Now, before you hi-tail it out of here because I’m promoting something or other, I’m not… I scored an exclusive interview with Jim where he reveals the secrets that moved him from failing miserably to having his first five figure month in 90 days. I don’t want to spoil the surprises he shared in this interview too much, so just let me say this. You’re going to want to stop whatever you’re doing and take 20 minutes to learn how this 22 year old internet super-star makes more than my Family Physician online. Here’s the interview:

I wanted to share some of the principles that I got out of this interview with Jim today, feel free to share your thoughts in the comments on what you got out of it.

The first thing that I got out of our conversation is that there is just a fundamental difference between the mindset of an entrepreneur and the mindset of an employee. Now Jim Chao didn’t talk about this so much, it’s just that some of the things he said got me thinking… He failed in MLM for YEARS before he had his major breakthrough. I failed for years, too before I started to learn the keys to wealth in the MLM profession. However, we BOTH kept at it, refusing to take bad advice at face value, until we learned what it took to start living the lifestyle of our dreams.

THAT’S the mindset of an entrepreneur. They have a vision and just keep at it. Contrast that with the huge amount of people who start a business, try it for a week, and when it doesn’t work they quit immediately. Jim Chao is a true example of someone who makes a commitment, decides, and then takes action until he makes it work.

Second, what I really got out of this interview was how important it is to connect with other leaders in the MLM profession. I don’t talk about this too much, but when I first got involved in MLM, it was with a company we all know of called Amway. Well, even though I’m not in Amway today, I still have great relationships with a couple of leaders in the company, and some of them have given me some great advice. One thing I was told when I first got involved “You CAN’T do this business alone. You can try, but in the end if you’re not connected with like minded people NO MATTER WHAT you do you’ll fall flat on your face.”

Sometimes, we pride ourselves a little too much in ‘owning our own business’ and we forget that Network Marketing is a RELATIONSHIP driven industry, built on the unified dreams and aspirations of thousands of people, all working together for the common prosperity of the community.

We NEED to connect. I do that by seeking out leaders, contacting them, and keeping in touch often. That’s one thing Jim Chao and I definately have in common, we don’t expect LEADERS to reach out to us. We are proactive and reach out to them.
