My Vision For 2011 And The Truth Behind The Internet

I’ve been quiet for the last week or so, and I wanted to put up a ‘quick post’ on my vision for this industry moving in to 2011 and my HONEST opinions on what I’ve learned and experienced on the internet over the last year. My ‘quick post‘ turned into this… Listen in my friends, and leave me your thoughts. Feel free to share it, re-post it on your own blogs, etc if you link back to http://workwithdavidwood.com/my-vision-for-2011/. Enjoy!

Let’s ROCK this out this year in 2011 and beyond my friends, and make this year the BEST year ever!

To the top,
David Wood

P.S. I would love to hear your thoughts on this one :) and I want to know if you’re UP to the CHALLENGE…

Aloha David, woww.. you have enlighten the message that I have recently seen on fb, with other hardworking prof. networkers, ranting for good reasons. So true, with your message and I have seen so many, being herded in directions that who knows what they are doing, but they are in a buying frenzy for all sort of software. If leadership is taken seriously as you are inspire others to be aware and alert to their business, then hopefully things get back on track. Which I doubt, but anything is possible or the service providers will tame the market, as Google has done. Thanks for sharing! Lanikee.com

I really enjoyed listening to this rant David. I spent my first year and a half being a "victim" of the same crap you're talking about in this video. Everyone wants to go for the jugular... I feel that keeping the costs down for the average every day person is more important on the front end than trying to recruit people into my downline - and ultimately, that's how it happens. The relationship I have with my downline stronger because they know I'm not just trying to sell them something so I can fill my own pockets. I got taken for thousands of dollars at first - by the same guys you're ranting about. I agree that they're crooks and they need to bow out unless they want to prove it like the rest of us. Thanks for the awesome rant! Bronwen

Thanks for this honest message David. There is a lot of attraction marketing B.S. in this industry, and you are taught by uplines and gurus to just "brand yourself" and "fake success" until you actually succeed (which will actually NOT happen this way)...instead of being given the right tools and the right mindset to set up a business.

Thank you for this wonderful message. More information and training I learn from you that I can use in my business. I just want to ask, I've been following the Numis Network and I really want to know more about it. If time comes that it will introduce this to our country here in Philippines I want to be the first to Network here can you give me feed back when will this introduce here in Asia thank you David

Thanks again Dave! The tools you've put together for the group are awesome! Duplication is the key! It has become my mantra for future new reps. You Rock! John

Once again my friend you have given us pure gold by way of words. I believe the major disconnect here is duplication. While it is paramount to building an mlm biz, It is death to an internet marketing biz. There is so much noise on the net where these two business models meet that one can barely here the voice of reason sounding the alarm. Continue your Clarion call brother, some of us do hear you...loud and clear!

Great incite David. I'm glad to be involved in the same business. We need more leaders like you, who will be honest and actually teach people to succeed, not just take the money and run. If we teach people the actual skills needed to succeed in this industry through experience, we would all be very wealthy.

Hey David, Great message as always. How do you do it? I guess being around the industry since you were a kid has grown on you, its within you. I hear it in your voice, the passion and commitment and its infectious to those who choose to follow you. I am one of them and I will follow you to the top. Where do we(your team) get the offline stuff? Tell me, whats that player you used in this blog post, I want to use it in the future. Chris Tuttle

Thanks for laying it on the line about MLM's David. This is the way any MLM should be built. The common sense approach that makes sense. Does that makes sense? lol

Wow !!! Awesome message !! I've been online for 17 months and have thrown so much money away on so called Gurus who have lied about their success. I vowed that I would never leave the traditional network marketing methods that actual build relationships no matter how good I get on the internet. David, I really want to work with you but I already have a primary company. What do I need to do ??

Thanks David. People (including me) need to hear this and let it sink in. I came back to network marketing after 7 years because I thought I could solely recruit on-line. As much as I didn't want to admit it to myself, I know I cannot ignore the offline side of the business. I have learned that if I'm avoiding something then I probably should be paying more attention to why I'm avoiding it. I guess that makes sense?? Thanks for the value as always.

Thanks for sharing some insight into the online lead generation industry. I figured it was more hype than not since so many people make claims, but I could not verify it from my other channels. What I do know - most big money is made when people take their organization and move. I guess this is because they qualify for fast start bonuses or guaranteed income. I heard Mona Vie does it, and I am sure others do it, by recruiting heavy hitters across markets. What does top tier mean?

Dave- Job Well Done once again. It time somebody started telling the truth. It time to get back to the fundamentals of Network Marketing. The internet has created a lot of "Carbon Copies" with a fake it till you make it philosophy. You can't even ask people for advise without someone responding back with an affiliate link. Watching your videos have made me realize why i have struggled in this industry. I got caught up in the " Launch Of The Week" circus and " Become A Guru In 30days" sweepstakes. Here I am spending $100 a month thinking I could compete with the Big Dogs who spend $10,000 a month on Google PPC. It very comical as I think back on it. I ready to make 2011 the best year ever. Great blog David, I agree with you TOTALLY! I have been telling people that I listen to people who are actually DOING something in the industry. I am all about BUILDING my business and not just selling STUFF!

Very nice as usual, never get bored of listening to your rants. Always learn something. I seriously wonder how you find the time to make all these videos and do everything you do. Anyway, good stuff and lets talk soon.

That's not entirely accurate Lu. Tools should only be sold that eventually end in more products being sold, they're related to each other directly. For example, I can predict how many recruits come into my team by the flow of tools that precedes it by 90 days. In the end, without a strong product culture, an organization will fall apart. -dave

I think that I might have CAUSED the message on Facebook (even indirectly) - it's completely, 100% true, though. -dave

Quinton - being a 'guru' is a highly overrated social phenomenon. What people really want is to be able to live a better live, create freedom, and be recognized for their achievements. I really should just call it as it is - 99% of everything taught and propagated in 'attraction marketing' is total, complete bull shit. I know guys who have never written a book, produced an audio course, and don't know how to log in to Facebook that make more money than ANY of the 'MLM internet gurus'. Noting, of course, that guru money is cool as well :) To the top, David Wood

Lol. Selling stuff is so much fun, though... ...sometimes I think that people have just not been exposed to the real 'BIG PICTURE' of the industry, ignorance in action. But that's cool - because it allows you and I to create the BEST picture ever... Thanks for the comment -dave wood

It's easy man - I love this stuff (writing, making videos, selling stuff, etc) :)
