How To Recruit 500 People Per Year In YOUR MLM Company

Concepts of the Super-Rich MLM Gurus:

There are only two actions and one skill set create all of the wealth that has ever been created in Network Marketing. To ‘Prospect and Close Your Way To Millions’, you have to do just that: prospect and close. To create the legendary incomes generated by the ‘fabulous few’ then at a minimum 95% of the time you spend engaging in this business should be on the phone or in person – prospecting and closing prospects and distributors.

Leaders in this industry, rather than earning millions of dollars from the one thing that matters (that is, creating sales volume by prospecting and closing), instead spend endless amounts of time and money doing meetings, more meetings, phone calls, motivational pep-talks, and listening to that Dani Johnson CD again and again and…

…blah, blah, blah. Did I mention there is another meeting on Tuesday?

So what should you be doing in your business, if not attending endless boring ‘hype-a-thons’, answering phone calls all day, and responding to every need and desire and burden that your down line so lovingly dumps on your back?

Pick up the phone and create some prospects! Stay on it until you’ve recruited someone – TODAY. Throw away the course, trash your script book, and prospect and close your way to millions – one new conversation at a time.

What should you say? SOMETHING. Seriously, pick up the phone. Remember it’s not what you say, it’s what they say. If you listen twice as much as you talk you’re on your way to be a ‘Ninja-Master’ at prospecting. Once you learn to get anyone to talk about themselves, the people will join you in DROVES.

Who should you call? Maybe start with your warm market list, but don’t get stuck. Don’t be a dork and use a script on your friends, be YOU. Hurry through your list, though. Unless you have a database of 2000 people, it shouldn’t ever take you longer than 5 days to contact your whole warm market, after that you should immediately have a strategy to have more prospects. Pick up the phone and make some calls. Talk to people and be real.

How should you train your people? Simply say “watch, and do what you see me do”. This is advantageous in 3 ways: First, your people get trained like no meeting could possibly do. Second, your people will understand that all there is to this business is prospecting and closing customers and distributors from your actions. Third, you save the wasted time of actually going to the meeting and being bored for 2-4 hours. Instead of a meeting – go have some fun!

Here are seven ideas that will turn you from lame to fabulous -

1. To create millions in this industry from prospecting and closing, you should talk to AT LEAST 30 people a day. This doesn’t mean you’re having 30 long conversations a day, it means you offer the opportunity to check out your business to at a minimum of 30 people a day, 5 days per week.

2. Don’t babysit your down line. They can do it on their own (trust me). Seriously, if you want to be a sponsor who babies your people, you’re not going to make very much money, and that’s the truth. If you want to have time freedom, be a sponsor who won’t spend hours and hours pampering your every desire. Be someone that when asked ‘what do I do’ you simply respond by allowing your downline listen to you prospect and close new people.

3. Keep it part time, no more than 5 hours a day (6-7 if you’re absolutely nuts and are already making bank), and take the weekends off. Take a vacation occasionally, too. If you’re starting and working full time, you should not be working your business more than 3 hours per day, or you’ll burn out. Replace your income from work, then double it, and then and only then should you quit your job and go full time.

4. Learn to use technology to use your time effectively. You can use phone technology to prospect that allows you to talk to approximately 15-20 people an hour. If you’ve used the phone before, you know how incredible that is. It’s not only available to one company, it’s proper use and understanding of systems and technology. You can do through a proper system in 3 hours what a less up to date person could not do in 10.

5. Don’t spend tons of money on leads. If you are purchasing leads, don’t spend more than $1 per lead, ever. Most of the time, leads that cost $8 are the exact same, and come from the same source as a lead that costs $.50 or less. Here’s a better idea, though: Stop wasting your money, because most leads are a waste of time. Want some interested people? Pick up the paper and start calling people who are placing classified ads and selling things. Call some Realtors. Recently I generated 50 hot, interested leads in less than 30 minutes with some clever use of technology. Learn some strategies, do them consistently, and you’ll save thousands while you make millions.

6. REALLY listen to people. Be interested and ask questions. You’ll go farther by opening your ears than you ever will by rambling your mouth. Take notes. You’ll be amazed at the things people will tell you when you care about them, but you have to REALLY listen.

7. Here are the numbers for you numbers crunching fans: Out of 30 people, you will have 20 say that they are open to looking into what you are doing. Out of those, you will have 10 quality conversations and connect on a core level with about 3 people. If you are skilled, it is actually possible to recruit 2 out of 3 of those people, but you should be able to recruit at least 1.

With a solid work ethic over a consistent time, you will be able to recruit between 300-500 people per year in 20-30 hours per week of work, and it doesn’t matter at all which company you work.

What will happen to you if you follow this plan? The possibility of being free from excessive meetings and trainings, and having your entire team of thousands of distributors focus only on the main thing: Recruiting.

With the right coaching, it is possible to make millions of dollars in income from a part time focused effort.

Awesome. Love it man, you just re-enforced what I already know I need to do. Everyone likes to look for some fancy system, or some magic solution, but all they really need to do is pick up the phone. As always it's the simple stuff that works.

Hey David thanks for this post it made a lot of sense. Found it from a google search. I think my problem was i just wasn't hungry enough to do this. I probably talk to 5-8 people a day which turn into reps but it just hasnt been happening fast enough for me(cause i dont do this everyday). So after reading this post i pulled out my list of ppl still waiting to call, "my chicken list" and got the freakin realtor magazine out and im going to be on the phone constantly now. Thanks for your leadership bro
