3 MLM Secrets For Unstoppable MLM Expansion
MLM secrets? Hah, yeah right… The truth is that there aren’t actually any so called secrets. While there aren’t exactly any secrets, there are still some tips and tricks you can follow to build an unstoppable army of Network Marketers. There nothing spectacular or anything, but follow these 3 secrets and you’ll have a damn easy time building an unstoppable army of Networkers!
Secret #1: Pick up the phone damnit! Yeah, this is #1 on my list for a reason. Because it’s so powerful and can make a huge difference to your overall MLM business. I know for a fact that around 70% of my downline have never even picked up the phone to call their leads or warm market.
BIG MISTAKE. Voice connection is the closest thing to actually meeting up in person. Huge word of advice: don’t be afraid of picking up the phone. After 10 odd MLM related phone calls you’ll be fine! Picking up the phone and talking to prospects will increase your results tenfold. Seriously, there’s nothing else like it apart from actually meeting up in person.
Quick example: A little over a year ago when I was generating a few dozen leads a day, I would pick up the phone and call nearly every one of them! It was a lot of work, but hey… its paid off big time. Anyway, when I talked to my leads…
One out of ten of them shouldn’t have really been on my list. They landed on my blog for some miraculous reason and they opted in to my list. They didn’t know anything about Network Marketing and weren’t even interested. They were just douchebags who opted in to get a free report or whatever. Then around 80-90% of the leads I called were genuinely interested in Network Marketing.
About 70% of the 80-90% were already in a Network Marketing company or had previously been in one. Overall, the majority of them were looking to get started in something new and had their eyes on 10 different opportunities. So I talked to them, told them to go checkout my presentation and if they liked it, they could called me with a bunch of questions.
I of course picked up, answered their questions and 20 minutes later, I signed them up. You know why a lot of them joined me? Well because I was the first person to pick up the phone and talk to them. It’s tough to emphasize how powerful a simple phone call is. From seeing you online to actually speaking to you over the phone. It’s like you all of a sudden become real to them which is inexplicably powerful.
Secret #2: Online marketing isn’t easy! Yeah, believe it or not, online marketing isn’t as easy as people make it out to be. Ok, so I don’t exactly mean it’s not easy. As a lot of online marketing is dead simple. Like I personally find it ever so simple, yet 70% of my downline struggle to use Microsoft Word.
I know Internet Marketing doesn’t have much to do with Microsoft Word but, most people figure you need to be a computer genius to do any online marketing. When really the Internet is the Internet and computers are computers. Point being, over 50% of your downline will probably be completely computer illiterate.
So if you try and get your downline started ONLINE, they’ll fail miserably. A personal fact: Most Networkers take at least 6 months to get anywhere using online marketing. More importantly, it’s so overwhelming. When I got started with online marketing, I went through a period of information overload for at least 5 months. So whatever you do, don’t tell your new reps to go setup a blog, get an Aweber account, buy hosting and do any of that social media crap. People will get frustrated and drop out.
Secret #3: Create a fast start guide: No matter what, you need to have a fast start guide. A simple guide, a PDF or a few videos showing your new reps exactly how to get started AND MAKING MONEY. Notice how I used capitals? (LOL)
Well that point is ultra important. As if new downline members don’t see a pay-check within 2 months, they’ll drop out on the spot. It’s not proven science or anything, but from my personal experience I’d say around 2 months tops. When you’re dealing with broke people who you “persuaded” to join, they’ll likely drop out within the first 30 days if they see no money. Years ago I would literally have to persuade people to join my opportunity. So once someone hesitantly joined, I knew they had to make money within 30 days or they’d drop out.
Solution: the offline marketing fast start guide. If you tell people to do the online thing as I just mentioned, they’ll quit because people like to see fast results. Even if the results are just around the corner, people don’t give a damn. So put together a fast start guide that teaches offline marketing strategies. Stuff like how to pitch your warm market, cold calling, offline advertising, and a lot of training on prospecting. As you know… It’s not what you say, it’s how you say it that gets people to join you. (most of the time)
